Contraindications
Do not administer is your pet is pregnant, lactating, scheduled for surgery within 2 weeks (mildly thins blood) or receiving hormone treatments. Contraindicated for pets using diabetic, low blood pressure, glucose and hypoglycemic medications and aspirin compounds. May change the speed in which the liver metabolizes drugs. Contraindicated for pets with citrus allergies or following an organ or bone marrow transplant or skin graft, due to its effects to stimulate immunity.
Drug Interactions
Interacts with drugs that suppress the immune system (i.e. cyclosporine) or with drugs prescribed after an organ transplant. May potentiate Coumadin and blood thinning drugs.
Cautions
Cautioned for use with blood thinning, hypotensive and hypoglycemic medications; for pets with an allergy and with a heart condition.
Dosage
Dogs and cats up to 12 pounds: 1 capsule, one time daily. Dogs and cats 13-25 pounds: 1 capsule, two times daily. Dogs and cats 26-50 pounds: 2 capsules, two times daily.
Dogs 51-75 pounds: 3 capsules, two times daily
Dogs 76+ pounds: 4 capsules, two times daily.
